Our final permits for dredging are at last in hand and the dredge equipment is expected to arrive on site the first week of September. The phase 2 dredging will be much more complex, and in turn slower, than dredging performed in 2011. This season crews will be removing sediments from the inner basin along Marina Blvd and east of the Scott Street mole, and then conclude with removal of sand accumulated along the north jetty. Like last year, work will be performed 16 hours per day, 6 AM to 10 PM. The Contractor has secured a special Night Noise Authorization Permit and will be performing required noise level monitoring. Boaters considering oversight stays in the harbor are advised to anticipate the presence of construction noise between the hours noted above.
