The Youth Stewardship Program, now in its 21st year, is hiring motivated an aspiring youth educators for the 2017-2018 school year.

Environmental Educators Interns in the Youth Stewardship Program (YSP) engage youth, 2nd – 12th grade, in environmental education and service-learning field trips in parks and open spaces citywide.

Our programs mission is to foster in youth an understanding of their important role in helping to build healthy social and natural communities.

Interns help expose students to an outdoor learning environment that proves to be engaging and challenging; mentally and physically. Students are taught science, environmental education, local natural and cultural history, social responsibility, help youth build a personal connection to their communities, and fundamental life skills.

The program is free of cost and available to any youth group in San Francisco.
