The ideal candidate for the position of Tennis Recreation Leader Educator is someone who loves the game of tennis and the art of teaching. The TE will be responsible for teaching tennis technique through the LAFTS program. LAFTS stands for Learning And Fun Tennis System. LAFTS is a progressive learning curriculum that teaches fundamental tennis mechanics followed immediately by fun competitive drills that support the technical theme of the lesson. This is a great position for a tennis enthusiast who wishes to learn and develop a tennis teaching career and working with all ages and abilities.Job Responsibilities
The TE will conduct tennis classes through the San Francisco Recreation & Park Department. The TE will be responsible for and not limited to ; attendance, equipment, professional appearance / behavior, & outreach. This position is vital to the success of the tennis programs/camps. The TE is the ground zero field representative for SFRPD and is the direct link to the general public. The TE must always friendly and courteous. The TE is the critical component to the vivacity of SFRPD.Desirable Qualifications
The ideal TE candidate is at least a 3.0 / United States Tennis Association team or tournament player. The TE should have some experience working with all ages and ability levels and have a desire for continuing education as a tennis instructor through the certification process from the United States Professional Tennis Association(USPTA) and/or the Professional Tennis Registry(PTR). The TE should also be CPR/FIRST AID certified or have the desire to become CPR/FIRST AID certified.Minimum Qualifications
