Job Description

Camp Mather is the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department’s resort family camp located just outside of Yosemite National Park in the High Sierras. The camp serves over 500 people of all ages on a weekly basis and runs from mid-May to mid-August. Crystal clear lakes, surging streams and quiet mountain forest surround Mather and offer unlimited recreation to visitors. We sponsor supervised recreation programs for all ages and fine dining with hearty home cooked meals served three times daily, cafeteria style.

We are seeking highly motivated, spirited, and cooperative individuals with clerical or administrative background. The position is 40 hours per week and includes full room and board.

Job Responsibilities

Participates in Recreation Programming and executes other duties as needed. Acts as an assistant to the Office Manager. Will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while conducting point of sale and registration as well as when helping customers with their questions or needs. Completes office duties such as production of fliers and packets, answering phones, updating schedules, and ensuring the office is presentable.

Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience working in an office setting
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel
  • Understanding of quality customer service
  • Availability to work entire duration of camp
