Washington Square Park Volunteer Workparty

March 19 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

| Free
Washington Square

Join the SFRPD gardeners and the Friends of Washington Square Park in a volunteer workparty focused on planting, gardening and maintenance projects.  The Friends of Washington Square is a group of neighbors and friends dedicated to addressing ongoing park needs; interfacing with community leaders, the SF Recreation and Parks Department, and the SF Parks Alliance; and working to help preserve and beautify a San Francisco treasure.

Surrounded by sidewalk restaurants and cafes, as well as Saint Peter and & Paul’s Church lies Washington Square Park, established in 1847 as one of the city’s first parks.  It has been the centerpiece of the North Beach neighborhood for more than 150 years.

Please wear closed-toed shoes and dress in layers.  Light refreshments served.  Event takes place rain or shine.  To RSVP, please email recparkvolunteer@sfgov.org or call 415-831-6333.
