Alta Plaza Park Beautification
December 10 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Join the Alta Plaza Park Volunteers for their quarterly park workparty. Alta Plaza lays claim to a unique role in San Francisco ‘s history. It operated as a rock quarry until 1877 when the City purchased the 12-acre parcel for park development. Then thirty years elapsed before its transformation into the terraced plaza of today. Conceived and executed by the designer of Golden Gate Park, John McClaren, its elevated design affords outstanding views of San Francisco. Volunteer gardening activities vary by season. Please wear closed-toed shoes and dress in layers. Light refreshments served. Event takes place rain or shine.
Please RSVP to email@example.com or call 415-831-6333 to register.
